WeeklyBagel (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a personal finance blog operated by Chimé N.U, dedicated to simplifying personal finance platform for young working class adults. It is owned by WeeklyBagel Media LLC operating out of the State of Texas.

This privacy policy applies to all visitors, subscribers, and users of WeeklyBagel.com. Also, any other related services, including our newsletter, social and podcast are subjected to this privacy policy. This is according to the law surrounding privacy.
2. What personal data we collect and why we collect it
A. Information you give us directly
- Newsletter signup: Your name and email address when you subscribe via ConvertKit.
- Contact form: Your name, email address, and message when you contact us via WPForms Lite.
- Comments: Your name, email address, and comment content when you leave a comment on the blog. Your email is not displayed publicly.
We collect this information solely to respond to you, send you content you requested, and operate the platform. We neither use it for advertising, nor sell it to third parties.
B. Information collected automatically
- Log data: Your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited. This is standard web server data used to keep the site secure and functioning.
- Analytics data: How you interact with pages, how long you stay, and what content you read. Collected via Google Analytics 4 and Bing Webmaster Tools (details in Section 3).
- Ad impressions: If ads are displayed, ad networks may collect data about your visit. See Section 3 for details.
- Cookies: Small files stored on your device. See Section 5 for full details.
C. Information from third-party platforms
If you interact with WeeklyBagel on social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn), those platforms govern their own data practices. Additionally, we may see aggregate engagement data (likes, shares, views) but do not receive your personal information from them directly. WeeklyBagel does not sell these or store them.
3. Third-Party Services We Use
WeeklyBagel uses third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy and data practices.
Analytics
- Google Analytics 4 — tracks site traffic, user behavior, and engagement. Data is processed by Google and may be used by Google for its own purposes. You can see how Google handles your information on Google Privacy Policy.
- Bing Webmaster Tools / Microsoft Clarity — tracks search performance and visitor behavior. Data is processed by Microsoft. The Microsoft Privacy Policy can be viewed through the blue highlighted link, in case you want to know how your information is used by Bing.
Email and Contact
- Kit formerly known ConvertKit — manages our email newsletter. Your name and email are stored on its servers. WeeklyBagel just uses it to provide certain services to you like a newsletter or letting you know when Mr. Chimé posts something new.
- WPForms Lite — powers our contact form. Your name, email, and message are transmitted through WPForms Lite. WeeklyBagel uses it as a way of you contacting the platform in case of any question.
Advertising
- Google AdSense — displays ads on WeeklyBagel. Google may use cookies and your browsing behavior to serve personalized ads. Your browsing behavior is not shared with WeeklyBagel. I only see ad units which are shown to you on the platform. You can see how your data is used by Google Ad on Google Ads Policy.
Content and Functionality
- WordPress — our website platform. Handles comment data and Gravatar integration.
- Sassy Social Share — enables readers to share content on social media. We do not store data from these interactions. Sassy Social Share Privacy Policy
- JQuery Pin Button For Images — WeeklyBagel uses this to enable you to pin images to Pinterest directly by just hovering over the images.
- Site Kit by Google — This is a Google plugin use to see what articles are most read or listened to. It enables us at WeeklyBagel to tailor solutions to your personal financial needs. That way, the questions which bring you to our platform will always get answered.
- IndexNow — This is a Bing service which automates the indexing of our articles and podcast episodes on Bing search engine.
- Yoast Seo — Handles seo.
- Embedded content (YouTube, etc.) — articles may embed videos or content from external sites. When you interact with embedded content, those websites may collect data about you as if you visited their site directly.
Affiliate Programs
WeeklyBagel participates in affiliate programs. When you click affiliate links, the partner site may set cookies to track referrals. WeeklyBagel receives a commission if you make a qualifying purchase at no extra cost to you. See Section 10 for our full affiliate disclosure.
4. How We Share Your Data
WeeklyBagel does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Period!
We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: With Kit and WPForms Lite solely to deliver our newsletter and contact form services.
- Analytics providers: With Google and Microsoft for site analytics as described in Section 3. These providers process data under their own terms.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of WeeklyBagel or our users.
- Business transfer: If WeeklyBagel is ever sold or merged, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. WeeklyBagel will be sure to notify users who are on our newsletter subscription. We will notify you in advance.
5. Cookies and Tracking
WeeklyBagel uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to make the site work properly and to understand how visitors use it.
Types of cookies we use
- Essential cookies: Required for the site to function. Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies: Used by Google Analytics to measure traffic and behavior. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Advertising cookies: Set by Google AdSense to display relevant ads. Manage preferences whenever the ad preference is shown to you.
- Comment cookies: If you leave a comment, your name and email may be saved in a cookie for one year for your convenience.
- Third-party cookies: Set by embedded content, social share buttons, and affiliate links. These are governed by the respective third parties’ cookie policies. WeeklyBagel does not have direct access to your data in these servers.

WeeklyBagel works best when you are able to let us use essential cookies. If possible enable analytics too, in order for us to learn how best to help you in your future visits.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Newsletter subscribers: WeeklyBagel has your email address, until you unsubscribe. When you unsubscribe, your name and email are removed from our Kit list.
- Contact form submissions: It is retained for up a few months, then it is deleted.
- Comments: Retained indefinitely unless you request deletion.
- Analytics data: Retained according to Google Analytics and Microsoft’s retention settings (typically 14–26 months). WeeklyBagel does not have access to how long this is kept. You can refer to Google policy on this.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Different countries and states in the United States of America have different laws to internet privacy. Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate data.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data.
- Opt-out of newsletter: Unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email.
- Opt-out of analytics: Use the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on or adjust your browser’s cookie settings.
- Opt-out of personalized ads: You can disable your cookie, but that would affect the way WeeklyBagel functions on your device.
California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal data we collect, request deletion, and opt out of any sale of personal data. WeeklyBagel does not sell personal data.
EEA/UK residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Our legal basis for processing is legitimate interest (analytics, security) and consent (newsletter). WeeklyBagel will never collect your information with the intention of selling it or using it for malice.

8. Children’s Privacy
WeeklyBagel is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly. The platform is for young working class American adults who are of legal age and working to improve their lives.
9. International Visitors
WeeklyBagel is operated from the United States of America. If you are visiting from outside the US — including Singapore, the United Kingdom, Canada, or the European Economic Area — please be aware that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using WeeklyBagel, you consent to this transfer.
We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy regardless of where it is processed. Per Google and other search engines privacy policies, WeeklyBagel is in compliance to these search engines’ requirements. This is why you are able to visit from to them to the platform.
10. Affiliate Disclosure
WeeklyBagel participates in affiliate marketing programs. What this means, is we may earn a commission when you click certain links on our site and make a purchase or sign up for a service. This is at no additional cost to you.
Chimé N.U only recommends products and services he genuinely believes will provide value to his readers. Some of the products and services he had already used to make his young working class life easy and bearable. Hence, why he recommends them to his readers and listeners.
His editorial opinions are never influenced by affiliate relationships. Simply put, none of the affiliates had paid him beforehand to write reviews about them. The goal of the WeeklyBagel platform is to simplify personal finance for young working class adults, not get them deep into financial crisis.
All sponsored content and affiliate links are clearly disclosed in the relevant articles. Current affiliate and partner programs may include, but are not limited to the following below:
